    Quick Facts about Naxxar

Naxxar sits slightly inland, away from the tourist trail, and offers a taste of traditional Maltese life. The main landmark is the Parish Church of Our Lady of Victories, a baroque beauty that dominates the town square. Just behind it, winding streets lead to old stone houses with carved doorways and brightly painted doors, each one with a unique brass knocker.

One of Naxxar's more unusual attractions is Palazzo Parisio. From the outside it's an elegant 18th-century palace, but inside it's full of lavish décor and surrounded by perfectly kept gardens. The gardens are worth a visit for their fragrant roses, neatly clipped hedges and beds of seasonal blooms.

The town is also known for its autumn fair, which has been running for over a century. It's part agricultural show, part community celebration, with flowers, produce and crafts on display. Beyond the town, the countryside offers gentle walks where you might spot almond blossoms in spring or caper plants clinging to old stone walls, showing how nature quietly claims its place.
